Pochi giorni fa The Hollywood Reporter ha pubblicato un lungo approfondimento dedicato alla lavorazione di Daredevil: Born Again, rivelando che i Marvel Studios hanno deciso di licenziare gli sceneggiatori e ripartire da zero con un “reboot creativo” della serie.
Steven DeKnight, creatore e showrunner della serie Netflix, ha commentato la notizia scrivendo su Twitter:
Sono davvero dispiaciuto di leggere questa notizia. Nonostante i miei sentimenti negativi nei confronti della major, ero veramente entusiasta di vedere cosa il nuovo team creativo avrebbe fatto. Un abbraccio a tutti coloro che sono stati colpiti da questa decisione.

In seguito ai commenti dei fan, DeKnight ha chiarito:
Non sono felice che lo show sia scartato e ho costantemente dichiarato il contrario. Tuttavia sono felice che abbiano finalmente capito che c’è bisogno di un vero showrunner che sia uno sceneggiatore per far funzionare una serie.

Daredevil: Born Again
Daredevil: Born Again è una serie di 18 episodi prodotta dai Marvel Studios, in streaming su Disney+ dal 2025.
Nel cast tornano Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/Kingpin), Jon Bernthal(Frank Castle/The Punisher) e Alaqua Cox (Maya Lopez/Echo). Tra le new entry Michael Gandolfini, Nikki M. James(Kirsten McDuffie) e Margarita Levieva (Heather Glenn). Sandrine Holt sostituisce Ayelet Zurer nel ruolo di Vanessa Fisk.
Gli sceneggiatori Matt Corman e Chris Ord scriveranno la serie e ricopriranno il ruolo di produttori esecutivi.
